Back from an incredible 4 day birthday celebration beach weekend and finally getting caught up (mostly) on my work backlog. Now to get caught up on world climate change events. I don't have time to go all the way back to Feb 4, but just the last couple of days present enough occurrances to keep me busy with this post. We have a whole variety of crazy weather going on... not only across the globe, but also in space. Check it out..
Drought
A new report was released yesterday by the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization FAO) reaffirming the concerns over the ongoing drought in China. The record drought in the country's main wheat producing region is expected to push record high food prices even further. The Shandong province, second largest wheat producer in China, is experiencing its worst drought in 200 years.
Since China's population is so enormous, they consume practically all of the wheat which they grow so if the crisis continues and they depleat their reserves (55 million tons) then they will begin to buy enormous amounts from the world market. This will drive prices to even further highs, ultimately affecting the poorest of the world population who will not be able to afford wheat products. Of course, the after effect of food shortages (besides starvation, malnutrition and disease) are occurrences like what we've been seeing in Tunasia and Egypt... mass hysteria and turmoil.
Flooding
Sri Lanka is experiencing the return of more flooding as new storms hit the country. People are beginning to experience hunger there as they can't catch a reprieve from the relentless deluge. The UN released a report Monday stating that flooding in the southern half of Africa is affecting thousands of hectares of farmland, causing alarm over food supplies. Notice how both these reports address the dire food shortage problems caused by flooding. This is on top of the China food crisis caused by drought. And we continue...
Snowfall
The central US is getting hit with yet another intense snowstorm which began pounding sections of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas late Tuesday. Up to 10 inches was expected over the area accompanied by extremely cold temperatures. Arkansas is receiving its fifth storm in a month's time when it normally goes the entire winter without seeing a major snowstorm. Hmmmm See http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41486321/ns/weather/
If you recall in one of last week's posts, during the last mega storm that hit the US there were concerns over the severe winter weather damaging food and livestock supplies. These continuing storms sure aren't helping that senario much. Once again, we see a huge strain placed on the world food supply due to global warming, climate change and Earth change events.
Volcanoes
Volcanoes in Japan continue to erupt live popcorn. Two erupted on Tuesday on the southern island of Kyushu. the Minamidake crater blasted early in the day, followed by Shinmoedake in the afternoon. Shinmoedake is the one we've been following which erupted in January for the first time in 52 years. It's erupted over 10 times since. Wow! However, the BIG volcano news comes from Iceland. Scientists there are warning that the Bárdarbunga volcano is showing signs of an eruption. Its last eruption was in 1910 with a major eruption occurring in 1477.
Bárdarbunga is Iceland's second largest vocano and scientists say that it would dwarf last year's eruption by Eyjafjallajokull which shut down air traffic in Europe. Bárdarbunga also produced the largest lava flow on earth over the past 10,000 years! And she's about to blow again! Mega Saturn Storm
Intense storms aren't only occurring on earth. A mega storm has been raging across Saturn since the last weeks of 2010 and it continues to grow. It stretches across a large portion of Saturn's northern hemisphere, can easily be seen with a telescope and is an astounding 10 earths wide in size! What's more... it's getting larger! Ok, so I've been saying how our solar system is preparing to enter and go through the Galactic Plane which is the Galactic Center of our galacy. Not only is our sun and planet earth being affected, but other planets are being affected as well. I believe that what we are witnessing on Saturn is a direct affect of our solar system nearing the Galactic Plane. BTW - this is what is predicted in the Mayan Calendar and writings.. only they call it the Dark Rift.
UFO News
New Zealand has just released UFO classified documents which contain some 2000 pages of material on UFO sightings. The report covers eyewitness accounts, drawings, testimonies and more from civilians, military personnel, pilots and other authorities from 1954 to 2009. Don't you think it's aweful fishy that all of a sudden country after country is disclosing UFO information which has been held as Top Secret for decades? I totally believe that this is a conscious or subconscious preparation by humanity to make contact with aliens. The proof of their existence is just too overwhelming to hide and that is further compounded by a huge increase in sightings. It even appears that the aliens are becoming bolder in their revealing of themselves as these increased sightings are becoming more pronounced and detailed. It's like they, too, are preparing us for their arrival.
Well, I'm of the belief that these other beings (at least most of them I hope) are showing up at this particular time.. our going through the Galactic Plane.. to rescue us from the Great Cleansing which I see coming yes or yes to the planet. I know a huge portion of earth's population is waiting on "God" to return to save us, but I just don't see it happening according to the way which the fanciful & imaginative stories depict it.
Now, don't get me wrong. I totally believe in a Supreme Being. The entire universe is just too balanced and precise to be a random occurrence, IMO. However, I also understand that "God" seems to always use messengers (the word "angel" in Hebrew literally translates to "messenger") to do the desired deeds. And, there happens to be greater proof of alien intervention in human history than "divine being" intervention. Perhaps they are connected? I guess we'll have to wait and see on that one! ;)
